360 Panorama?

Post by sylvanr » Mon Aug 01, 2011 9:36 am

I have been playing a bit with the scroller example that comes with the iOS that has the four pics, hills, lillies, sunset, and winter in the Images folder. I'm wondering if it is always necessary to have the pictures in an external folder like that? Is there a way to just put one panoramic pic on a card and be able to scroll from side to side? The actual thing I was thinking about trying was one of those 360 panoramas. They are easy to find on the internet- Someone takes a bunch of pics of a location and puts them altogether to form a 360 view. You also see them on hotel websites to see a 360 view of a room. I'm just wondering if anyone has done something similar in the iOs in LiveCode? It seems like the scroller would be involved somehow but with that, it just seems to go from side to side... so you can do a panorama... but doesn't end up back where you started... in a complete circle... just wondering if it is even possible?

Hi Sylvanr,
I haven't done it myself, but I recall seeing various notes in the User's Guide about QTVR, which is the panorama format that you're referring to. So I'm guessing, but I think Livecode does support it.
