I was using webTalk successfully in Iceweasel on Haiku 64-bit yesterday.

Nice one - glad it worked for you yesterday, that’s always a good feeling. If it stops working, try a few things I learned the hard way:

- Launch Iceweasel from Terminal so you can watch errors (SSL, missing libs, plugin crashes).
- Try safe mode or a fresh profile (iceweasel -P or --safe-mode) to rule out extensions.
- Check permissions and that the webTalk binary/extension matches your 64-bit Iceweasel build. HaikuPorts versions can mismatch.
- If it’s your self‑hosted URL, verify certs and CORS headers - browser will block mixed content.
- Rebuild or reinstall the package from HaikuPorts if suspicious, and look at system logs for libs that fail to load.

Why the question marks? It's a bot alright.

And the forum seems to be under a spam attack just now.

What is more fussing than the spam attack (as the forums have had many before), is that the list bosses are being extremely slow off the mark about purging the forums of them.

Why does this make me think that LC have largely abandoned the forums as they focus their attention on the next big thing?

If by "forum bosses" you mean LiveCode Limited, then there's almost no presence here, never has been except for announcements and the odd time that things catch certain staff members' attention. It's a community resource.

As moderators are all volunteers, we can't expect too much, especially since I think the only regular mod is Klausimausi, who always does an amazing job of cleaning up. He can't be on call 24/7 though.

Aha. Notwithstanding, there is a certain "feel" coming out of here recently.

Hi friends,

unfortunately i am not allowed to delete users and their (SPAM) content in one go.
I can only BAN users and delete their postings manually one by one!
Which I did with about 100 postings over the last two days. :?

But right now we have a big wave of TEMU spam postings and and cannot keep
up with the spammers this way.

So we need to wait for Heather to take action tomorrow.

Best
