I'm thinking of writing a small project management app that would be used by internal staff at my company. My intention would be to keep it online and develop it in Create. 2 questions:
1. If I develop in Create, is there a separate server fee?
2. If the company uses a shared login amongst a few users, do I have to pay more than the $36.67 per month?
Thanks in advance.

LC Create for web question
Hypertalk developer on and off since the days of SuperCard. Currently using LC to do rapid prototyping for a new kids' toy.
Re: LC Create for web question
I suspect you will be able to host on any server - the quick check I've done works fine that way (I bought a lifetime hostm sub years ago, and a simple web app worked fine hosting from that - but that was without data store, which may change things.)M-A Kuttner wrote: ↑Wed Jul 09, 2025 8:37 pmI'm thinking of writing a small project management app that would be used by internal staff at my company. Of course LC may introduce a 1-stop shop that automatically deploys online (Xojo does something similar with Xojoweb, which costs an extra $50/month for dedicated xojo server + ssl+mysql server + postgresql server + ssh, but it literally is a 'publish' button in the IDE and you're online).
The licensing is tricky. IIRC, LC had made a fuss about 'internal users' - people developing for the company they work for vs people selling standalones. For 'internal users' you have to pay a separate licence for each internal user logging in (ie above the developer licence) - although if you only use 1 login for all users that will be less. Unless things have changed or I'm mistaken.
If what I remember still holds, that means paying for two licences minimum, but that may have changed, I really haven't checked recently but it's probably worth checking out the licensing blurb, and probably worth reaching out to LC Ltd to confirm what you would be expected to pay, to avoid surprises.
Also worth remembering there are other decent alternatives for web projects that would cost less or nothing.
