Access to Bluetooth

Is it possible to interface with Bluetooth on Android?

I saw a post dated 2012 saying that it was not possible. Is this now possible?

Bluetooth is currently not supported.
There was a crowd-funding initiative with mergExt but I don't think it got off the ground.

Actually during a moment of excitement in the kickstarter campaign I promised a CoreBluetooth (BLE) external if we got over the line. It's started but it might be a while before I get time to complete it. It was iOS only though. Android Java externals are fairly close though and I'm tentatively opening my doors for business so if you're interested in a quote let me know off list.

Thanks - that rules it out for my projects unfortunately. It's a neat idea, and I will come back and look at in again in a year or so.
