Just uploaded an update to an iOS App for iPad and everything worked without a hitch via Application Loader, version 2.8. However, we received an email from Apple which included the following:
None of the application settings were changed in LiveCode - specifically the Push Notification option is not enabled and push notifications are not used by the App. The App ID is not enabled for Push Notifications in the Provisioning Portal either.Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature's entitlements do not include the "aps-environment" entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the "aps-environment" entitlement.
The question is, what has changed for this message to be sent after a successful upload? Is this an additional screening process in iTunes or is LiveCode somehow attempting to register for the service regardless of the application setting? Any thoughts or suggestions?
Will provide an update on the outcomes from this submission in due course.
