Ohh that's frustrating :x
So, basically there's only e-mail correspondence exists between the user and developers?
Then how quickly they fixing the bugs and honor new features requests?

Just received an e-mail about addition of the newer 5.5.3 Trial to the Products list

These user-to-user forums aren't frequented by the RunRev crew, but as long as your email client is working it needn't be frustrating to reach them when you need to.

Feature requests range from critical to edge-case to downright bizarre, and are acted on accordingly. ;)

The bug-fix rate has been increasing rather well, and more visibly since they migrated to their new tracking system. Check out the list of fixes in the Release Notes included with each version to see what they've been up to.

Why they don't use some simple issue-tracker system like MantisBT, Redmine or any other BugTracker system?
I will definitely use such systems with vote-based feature requests and bug reports, when finally deploy some app :D

They do use a bug tracking system. They used to use Bugzilla, and more recently migrated to a new system but I don't recall the name.

Is it web-based? Is it available somewhere for observation?

Hi Steven,

did you find the time to create something cool with Livecode so far? 8)

Not yet. I have another, not programming-related job that I have to do for the living and that I cannot abandon currently.
In the meantime I am doing a research in the field of programming, because that is the work that I really eager to do in the future.
The reason why I don't want to pay for any license in the beginning - because I'll have a limited time, max 2-4 h/day to play with LiveCode for at least the next 6 months. And probably even by programming in a very rapid development environment, I will not be able to make something exciting and selling in this time frame - approx. 500 h in half year.
I think most of the time will be spent on learning and solving issues. However, I will get the "Pay as you go" license if I will decide to stick with Livecode.

The first product that I want to make is related to my job, it's aimed on automating an application both in Windows and Mac OS and with help of all available tablets - iPad, Android and Windows RT.

For example, I would like to get a list of layers in layers panel of Adobe Photoshop - show the list on the Android/iPad and then by selecting a Layer - send a message to the Photoshop application on the Win/Mac Desktop to select the tapped layer. I already see that this is a real challenge with LiveCode without any ready-to-use solution.
