Standalone icon in XP

Post by Preston Shea » Tue Jan 29, 2008 11:26 pm

What are the specs for a standalone icon under XP (size & color)? Are there icon maker programs that users can recommend for making icons that Rev standalone builder will accept?

Hi Preston Shea,

I use IcoFX to create icons for Win and Apple's Icon Composer to make icons for OSX. You can download IcoFX at http://icofx.xhost.ro . Icon Composer is included with Apple's Dev Tools, which you can obtain from the Apple Developer Connection and is also included with Mac OS X these days.

When you create an icon with IcoFX, you will see a window with a lot of checkboxes. Check everything, except the second column.

Best,

Mark
