Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Still no luck on my end.
Running fully patched official Lion release version, XCode 4.1, and build 1445 of LiveCode 4.6.3. Compilation works just fine for a project that was working under Snow Leopard, but when I try to load it in the simulator, I get an "Unknown Deployment Platform -" dialog.
Standalone application settings are iOS 4.3 only, as others have suggested. NOTHING in the forums about "Unknown Deployment Platform". I feel like I'm missing something obvious since others seem to be using this combination, but I'm finding nothing.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Did you select iPhone or iPad in settings and
corresponding target in development menu ?
Is the simulator button visible and active top right ?

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Standalone application settings are for iOS only, no other builds selected. Within the iOS pane, I've tried both iPad only and iPod, iPhone and iPad builds. Minimum iOS version is set to 4.3. Test button (gear with green play triangle) in the toolbar is active, and clicking runs a compile, followed by the error message "Unknown deployment platform -".
The only other issue I can think of that might contribute is that the machine was upgraded from 10.6 - this wasn't a clean lion install, but an upgrade. I also killed off the old Developer environment that wouldn't run under lion, and grabbed the new 4.1 from the app store. This is not the delta release of 4.1.1, but the only difference is in the installer. The underlying XCode engine is the same in 4.1 and 4.1.1.
BTW, if you need screen shots or remote access to the machine, I can set that up.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
macnomad2 is asking something a bit different. In LC, go to Development-->Test Target and make sure iPad Simulator 4.3 or iPhone Simulator 4.3 is selected. This is a different issue than what platform you specify in the standalone settings.
If the appropriate test target is selected and you still get the error, I'd try re-running the Xcode installer. Mine is working fine after an upgrade from Snow Leopard, but I had to run the Xcode installer twice.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Ah - *that* development menu.
Selected options, now the iPad simulator is trying to come up, and failing. But I can take it from this point - need to re-install XCode, since the simulator is now the breaking point, not getting to the simulator. Thanks!

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Any news about the Lion problems?
I deleted my preference stack because LiveCode behaved strange. Now it has become impossible to re-enter the path to the SDK!!
While I was able to compile iOS apps before and to test them successfully on the real device (simulator never worked under Lion) I'm now cut off completely from the iOS SDK which is really bad.
Is there a possibility to re-enter the path "/Developer" into the preference stack manually?
Best regards,
Gian.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Probably simpler and safer for your to:
1. Run the Xcode 4.1 installer
2. Download and install the most recent LiveCode 4.3 build
3. Follow instructions above.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Wow! Why on earth is RunRev making such a crucial build for all Lion users and is mentioning it with no word on their webpage?
You made my day! Everything is working great again.

Re: Lion and LiveCode Mobile conflict
Same problem. Lion broke the iOS Simulator with LiveCode. Downloaded a fresh copy of 4.6.3 and it worked. Must be the new build mentioned above. Perhaps they should label it something new, like 4.6.4....
