Thank you so much sir the videos will be posted later todaystam wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 9:59 pm The initial post suggested there would be a link to access this on Facebook. Yet both before and after the announcement there was just 2-3 pics posted.
Given that FB is a publicly accessible resource there are no issues posting pics here and I’m surprised these haven’t been posted here so these are some representative pics. Looks like a winUI app, not clear how this works with LC:

Assuming this works as advertised it’s still not clear what the advantages are other than autocomplete (given this is shown with the community LC version autocomplete would be helpful). Also unclear is how this actually integrates with LC.

Re: Livecode pro editor
It has some it's features. I will be posting the video later today on Facebook Thank you so much for your reply I really appreciatestam wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2026 10:07 pmAre you saying your editor will include conveniences like horizontal and vertical split screens, code folding, highlighting all keywords when clicking on a keyword etc etc?
Stating that an editor from an unknown developer will rival the likes of VS Code is a rather boisterous claim… and not one that fills me with confidence.

David.
Three capitalizations:
The ONE thing that makes me smile every single day with LC is the ability to use a string of any length as the itemDelimiter.
ANOTHER thing that would do the same thing would be the ability to split the SE window, at least horizontally, in the manner that Excel does.
But I am Mac ONLY, forever. Any thoughts?

Yes, my comment was very amazing!David Ederaro wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 6:47 am Thanks for the amazing response and comments, everyone!
I don't know where I'm getting all this from?
Joking aside, there is something about the automaticity of the responses that intrigues me and makes me doubt Davis's human nature.
I certainly hope I'm wrong and that we'll get to see a great demo...

Hmmm.
I think David is flesh and blood, only because I have never seen, at least here, a bot reply to doubts about its humanity.
If I am wrong, we have entered a new arena...

What perhaps makes him human is the fact that he doesn't keep his promises...
We're still waiting for the demo.
Even so, I remain skeptical about the real motives behind this post and the author's identity.
And that’s a real shame, because if David is flesh and blood, he seems to be a young man (possibly a very talented one), and LiveCode need certainly young talent to take over!

I am worried as well. After all, an inhuman bot would certainly choose Windows, no?

His use of 'sir' tells us at least that he is not a native English speaker.

The wait is officially over!
Thank you all for the amazing comments—and yes, I am indeed human!

Here is a quick look at what’s coming:
10x Faster Copy & Paste: A completely turbocharged workflow to move code instantly.
Keyword Suggestions: Lightning-fast, intelligent auto-complete designed for LiveCode.

Re: Livecode pro editor
The wait is NOT over as, unlike one particular person, we know the difference between 'soon' and 'now'. We also know:
1. the value of pie-crust promises.
2. road maps.
And, unless there really is a demo rather than 3 coloured pictures I, at least, am going to get all Aesopian and recall the boy who cried 'Wolf'.
"move code instantly" . . . right . . . even God took 7 days to make the Big Bang.
