iOS SDK requirement

Post by SteveB » Tue Jan 27, 2026 1:10 pm

Just updating an old app, and got the following warning in Transporter.
SDK version issue. This app was built with the iOS 18.2 SDK. Starting April 2026, all iOS and iPadOS apps must be built with the iOS 26 SDK or later, included in Xcode 26 or later, in order to be uploaded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution. (90725)
The app was built with LiveCode 10.0.3, but the same applies to 10.0.4 (rc 1). Release notes for both state:
The iOS engine is currently built against the iOS 18.2 SDK and building iOS standalones either for simulator or device should work with any recent version of Xcode - a specific iOS SDK is not required.

Did you update the SDK?
Yes. The problem is that the Livecode engine has been built with SDK18.2. If you read the release notes it states as such.

I messaged Heather directly about this, and this was the reply:
Don't worry, we'll update iOS support as needed to comply by the deadline.
Hopefully it will be soon, as Apple my start removing non compliant apps...
