Can't Install RevWeb Plugin

Post by stephenmcnutt » Tue Apr 20, 2010 1:28 am

I tried saving my application for the web. I can't install the RevWeb plugin because the installer insists I need to close all browsers first. All browsers ARE closed. I'm running the latest Mac OS X. Any ideas?

Hi Stephen,

This is strange. I just installed the plugin on a Mac the other day. Are you sure there isn't still a browser process running? Have you checked Activity Monitor?

Best,

Mark

That was my first thought, too, Mark, but I checked, and no browser process seems to be running. I've gotten the same results on both my home MacBook and my work iMac, both of which are running the latest OS X.

Stephen,

Have you restarted your Mac? Have you closed all Safari snippets in Dashboard? Do you have any other programmes running that use the Safari web kit? Isn't there a crashed instance of the RevBrowser plugin in the list of processes?

If none of these suggestions help, perhaps this is a bug.

Best,

Mark
