Recent scripts list

Post by CAsba » Thu Sep 11, 2025 10:02 am

Hi all,
My 'Recent Scripts' list is not updating; it appears to be full as the only change that it shows is the top of the list, all the script button references below the top one are staying the same. Is there a reset or something that I don't know of?

I never used this feature and I even don't know where to find this list?
Any hint appreciated! :-)

Klaus: you are in serious trouble when Richmond is in front of you for once. 8)

I have never used this "feature" either, and learnt about it 10 minutes ago from the thread from 2024 I referenced.

Beyond Klaus's and my "Transcendental competition" as a seriously worrying character in my murky past would have put things . . .

Surely the "Big Q" is, where is the Recent Scripts list being stored?

1. Is it being stored as a 'rude and crude' text list, or is it being stored inwith a stack somewhere ('Home'?)?

2. Personally, having never used it I would ask what is the real utility of that feature?

Real Utility is my phrase de jour. 8)

No, not a tiny bit! :-)

I just searched the "revpreferences" stack, but this list in question is not stored in any custom property or whatever of that stack/cards?

The thread of 2024 was in fact mine !
But now I'm in a bind. Taking advice from the 2024 thread I deleted the preferences file C:\users\charles\appdata\roaming\runrev\preferences\livecode7.
Now I can't access my stack.
How can I run my stack CAsba accounts.livecode ?

Hm...
Usually deleting the prefs file does NOT affect any other stacks!
The only result is that you need to set up the prefs again, so no idea why you cannot open your stack again.
