Time based search
How would I search for all posts created in the last day, whether read or not, by any author? The forum search requires keywords or authors. I just want everything within a time range.

Re: Time based search
Is that a search of posts on these forums, or elsewhere?

Re: Time based search
Here. I usually get the digest every morning but my provider had an email issue and all mail is backlogged somewhere. So I want to see what was in the last 24 hours, but the digest marks all as read. So I need to search for everything.
I don't think that's possible.
Email is coming in normally now but the missing ones have not yet been forwarded.

Re: Time based search
I know the use-list has a digest form.
I do not like that list, though I wonder if I am just not using it in the best way possible.

Re: Time based search
No, I mean the digest for this forum, which you can set up in your forum account settings. I want the current forum posts to come to my mailbox where I can click a single link to answer if I have something to add.
Let's not get into preferences, I just want to see what was in my digest that never arrived. New posts won't work because the digest is set up to mark them all read after it sends the mail.

Re: Time based search
The mailing list does have a digest but I don't use it, I filter list mail into a folder. The list digest has no links, where the forum digest has links for the forum, the topic, and each individual post so I can jump directly to the post I want to reply to. It also prints out formatted script snippets in full which is easier to read than scrolling a short code insertion block.
Can anyone find a search method that shows all posts within a given time period? My lost email never did arrive.

Re: Time based search
I looked but I could not. But I read the few posts from the period in question. I can't recall specifics, but that may be enough: there was nothing noteworthy on that day, and IIRC the three or so messages that were posted are in active threads which will show up with a new New Posts click.

Re: Time based search
Thanks for checking Richard, appreciate it. It's not critical, but if there's an option to enable that feature that'd be nice.
