No, for whatever reason, there is no unified login between your account page, the forums, the mailing list, or the quality db / bug db, you can *make* them all the same, but you have to do each separately, which I still think is a real drag.

Thanks for the confirmation. So far LC has always met new OS requirements on time so I wasn't too worried, but I figure it isn't a bad idea to make sure occasionally.

Downloaded 9.6.3 but still no build as .aab option that I can see. Looking at https://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=22251
the status still shows as in progress, so I guess LC missed the deadline?

Google sez:
"After August 2021, all new apps and games will be required to publish with the Android App Bundle format."

Hard to say when Google publishes contradictory guidance.
If you get rejected for this please drop a note here so we can find out which guidance is correct.

I agree there is conflicting information on the Google site. Your linked page states 'After August' whereas this page states 'Starting August':
https://developer.android.com/guide/app ... et_started
I uploaded an .apk a couple of days ago and got a 'Starting August' warning, and I note that the Google Play Billing V3 dates for new and existing apps are August 2 and November 1 respectively, so I believe that same dates apply to .aab
I'm working on an app so I'll try an upload on August 2 and post back here

Re: Android App Bundle (.aab) Format is getting enforced
This is what developers received last month in the Android update:
===
Upcoming Google Play and Android deadlines
August 2021:
New apps must target at least Android 11 (API level 30).
New apps and games must be published with the Android App Bundle.
New apps using Play Billing must use Billing Library version 3 or newer.
===
Existing apps have until November, after that updates have the same requirements. I remember that the exact date for new apps was August 2 but I can't find the reference.

Good find, thank you. Did they actually reject a submission of yours?SteveB wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 2:36 pmFound it! I thought it was tomorrow but it started today

Re: Android App Bundle (.aab) Format is getting enforced
If you go to the Play Console and try to create a new release you will see that the 'Starting from..' message has gone, and the upload dialogue is now 'App bundles: Drop app bundles here to upload', so I assume that new apps not in aab format will be rejected.Good find, thank you. Did they actually reject a submission of yours?
I was going to try but realised that the project I'm working on has already been uploaded to the internal test track, so any upload should be treated as an update and so should be OK as apk files until November.
Anyone got a new project to try with?
Re: Android App Bundle (.aab) Format is getting enforced
Ok. Tried with an existing project and created a new project.
Existing projects will accept .apk and .aab files in the upload files dialogue
New projects will ONLY accept .aab files
So anyone wanting to upload a new project is stuck until the LC team fix this one!
