No: I'm afraid not as it seems to be something internal to the latest version of my Devawriter stack.

What is odd is that I'd expect that behaviour to be precipitated by an 'on quit' script . . . but it doesn't seem to br.

Richmond.

Is there a "closeStackRequest" call anywhere?

Not as far as I know.

However: having had that problem for the last 4 months when I have been "working intensively" (i.e. about 3 times)
on my Devawriter stack (slight demotivational patch there) it suddenly went away today . . .

Now the big, fat, stinking questions id "Why?" as ALL I did
was correct a load of openCard statements about resizing windows.

Hmmm.

Let me think about the last 457 times I either fixed something or broke something because I only did one little thing that was not related in any way to whatever.

1. Oh, right.
2. Yeah, yeah.
3 Damn!
4. What a ^%^@#*%"
5...

Oh Dear Oh Dear!

If I wasn't happily married, hetero, and err, all sorts of other things as well, I'd fall in love with you. 8)

Aha: I have identified the problem . . .

This strange behaviour only happens when I am running Waterfox and the LiveCode IDE at the same time.

Eeekk!

This is nasty.
Dunno if it helps, but on Win10 Waterfox 2020.02.1 (64-bit) doesn't change the way LC 6.7.10 comm. or LC 9.5.1 comm. are saving.
(at least not for what I do on a daily basis)

Have fun!
All code published by me here was created with Community Editions of LC (thus is GPLv3).
If you use it in closed source projects, or for the Apple AppStore, or with XCode
you'll violate some license terms - read your relevant EULAs & Licenses!

An intriguingly weird recipe. Does your app launch Waterfox?
