Viewing ask password in dictionary causing lock up

Post by Paul D » Mon Oct 12, 2009 3:20 pm

Anyone else getting this. Windows XP, version 3.5 and 4.0. When I click Ask Password in the dictionary Revolution locks up and I have to close the process from task manager.

Hi Paul,

Yes, same here, with Rev 3.5 and Mac OS X 10.5.8. Complete lock-up, CPU usage goes up to 100%, but console window doesn't report a crash.

Best,

I am unfamiliar with filling out a bug report for rev... where might I go about doing that?

Thanks Mark

This happened after I submitted a user comment for this term. It seems to be the only entry affected, so I'm thinking there is something malformed in the data for the comment. Details in this bug report:

http://quality.runrev.com/qacenter/show_bug.cgi?id=8279

My guess is that if whoever maintains the user comment database were to reenter or delete the comment, this bug would fix itself.
