not able to get html file to run from server

I have a simple stack that I have created and save as an hmtl 5 folder. I am unable to get it to run from a server. It runs perfectly if I take to .html file and dump it into firefox. When i put it onto a server, I am unable to get it to run. The wheel starts spinning and it shows downloading, but nothing else happens. I put the entire folder with all 4 components on the server and nothing happens. It just reads downloading.
