Re: Offscreen stack.
Looks like whatever issue had crept into the test builds was caught during testing and fixed for the final release.

I was referring to where you wrote:
So now I'm confused: does the recipe I provided work for you in v7.1.1 or not?LC 7.1.1 . LC 6.7.7 worked as expected.

Re: Offscreen stack.
heh, my fault, too many dots, so what i meant is that LC versions of 6.7.7 and earlier are working fine(Also LC 7.0.0), LC 6.7.8++ , LC 7.1.1++ and LC 8++ all until the latest version have the problem. So the conclusion is that the problem appeared with the latest RC and DP versions.I was referring to where you wrote:

Re: Offscreen stack.
If you and I are both running the same example script I provided in the same 7.1.1 rc3 version on the same Windows 8.1 version but getting different results, we may be able to diagnose this further by looking at elements outside of those.
Exactly where we'd look is the hard part, since for the most part when we run the same script in the same LC version on the same OS version we see the same result.
Do you have any other system extensions which may be relevant, or LiveCode plugins beyond the ones included in the base install?

Re: Offscreen stack.
Since i most do my job from internet cafe places, i have tested this at at least 10 different environments including my laptop. And by the way i'm on windows 7, haven't tried this on windows 8. Maybe this only happens on win 7?

Re: Offscreen stack.
At the moment that's the only difference between our tests, so it's worth looking into. Unfortunately I'm unable to install v7.1.1rc3 or 8.0dp9 on my Win7 box because of an issue with the LC registration server. I've reported that, and once it gets resolved I'll go back and see if I can reproduce the issue there. If I can I'll file a bug report.zaxos wrote:Maybe this only happens on win 7?
