mobileControlSet "showController" false does not work

mobileControlSet someID, "showController", false - does not work on livecode 7 and iOS 7
EXPECTED RESULT: mobileControlSet someID, "showController", false - should show NO movie controller on iOS simulator and iPad.
OBSERVED RESULT: movie controller displays regardless on simulator and iPad

Can anyone else confirm this please? Seems either Apple has changed movie behaviour on iOS or Livecode 7 has?
