AI coding?

I will freely admit that my experience with AI is limited to asking Google a question on my Android phone and listening to the response. I may also have posted this in the wrong place but "Software Engineering" seemed like a reasonable location.
I just read an article https://www.windowslatest.com/2026/09/0 ... -that-way/ about AI code generation. If I understood the gist of the story, typing code is so 20th Century.
But can I actually "tell" something that I want a procedure that will, for example, let me drop a video file on a stack and have it compress according to rules I've set (also verbally or textually)? I'm still referring to Livecode Script, obviously, as I've posted this question here and not in some C++ Reddit substack.
I do know and appreciate the autocomplete in LC scripting but I know my question presupposes there's something to automate almost the entire script in an object according to my whim.
Perhaps my question just displays an ignorance of monumental proportions but, Hey!, maybe I'll learn something new and exciting.
