How to enable USB OTG Keyboard Support?

Post by frankel » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:21 pm

I'm trying to allow users of my app to take advantage of a wired USBinput device. Android supports use of a On-The-Go (OTG) USB cable for such a connection. A connected keyboard works fine in all apps except those I've authored with LiveCode. I've tried putting focus in a specific field and with a variety of different devices - no luck. I'm hoping someone might know if there some additional step or setting that I need to enable to make this work or if this is something LiveCode doesn't yet support for Android?

As a note, iOs has something parallel using a Lightning to USB Camera adapter cable from Apple. A USB keyboard connected to my iPhone works fine on my LiveCode apps for iOS.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Kelly
