That looks clownish to me.

Well, having all the icons red does look clownish.

However, I am not entirely "into" the black-is-black thang [one of the reasons why, when my white toaster went kaboom last week I bought a red one,
and the reason why I have a dark green monitor]; and I do believe that I am not the only one who might like an option of coloured icons.
I feel similarly about the revMenuBar icons.

The palette header bar is a WIDGET, which I wrote. You may read the code, should you wish to disabuse yourself of your 'proof'.
