No, but I might administer wedgies to the extra thick ones.

Although I notice that stateside a 'wedgie' involves something with someone's underpants,
while what I understand by a wedgie involves rubbing one's fist forcefully over someone's head.

Here (in Bulgaria) they differentiate between what they call 'fried tatties' (which are what I'd call chips) and 'village fried chips'; which
are basically chipped tatties that have not been peeled, are then fried, and then sprinkled with Winter Savory
(the Big-Time Bulgarian herb). Mind you, thyme would be just as good.

I know this is a bit of an old thread now but it's new to me, and I LOL'd when I read that.
Yeah a "wedgie" is when you walk up behind someone and grab the waist band of their underpants and pull them sharply upwards, wedging the underpants deep into places they don't belong. Usually performed by middle-school aged kids (10-13 year olds) or sometimes my wife
The other thing is known in my area as a "Nuggie"(sp?), the knuckles are rub on the victims scalp. Also a favorite of middle-schoolers.

Yup: when I was a kid at school in Britain that was either a "wedgie" or a "nudgie" with a /dʒ/.
