Hi Ruth,

This is most likely due to having the app already installed on your device. Either delete the app from your device or change the apps identifier via standalone setting a and attempt to deploy again.

I reinstalled Community 7.0.1 and deleted the Android from my mobile (did not have to do this on the other version) and now the Emulator works OK on my mobile.

The Emulator is not working when useing the PC as a device (is there a particular device one should use as I'm selecting the one similar to mine).

Hi Ruth,

When you start the emulator from the Android Device Manage, it should appear in the "test target" menu of LiveCode. There should one entry per emulator so if you only have one emulator running, then only one entry should be in this menu.

The emulator loaded this time having disconnected my mobile leaving only one ADV to select. However, whilst the simple test file loads it accepts nothing from my keyboard.

Hi Ruth,

This is the Android emulator behaviour if it does not have keyboard support setup. More information on this can be found here-

Another thing to note is LiveCode fields (not native) will not accept keyboard input via the emulator. This is reported here-

In this case, you will need to use the emulator softkeyboard if available.
