Does it persist with the current version of LiveCode, 7.0.6, and any supported version of Windows (Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1)?

I have many apps in the wild running on Windows systems, some of them deeply dependent on copy and paste. I haven't seen this issue here or heard reports from my users, even with older LC versions and older Win versions. Hopefully we can pin down the differences between the working and non-working states so this can be resolved.

Are you finding this limited to the Script Editor, or can you reproduce it in any other field?

Same problem here on LC 7.0.4 thru 8.0 on Windows XP
It happens in the Script Editor.
Cut works but paste stops working and you have to restart LC to get it back working.
It is a cut and never get your stuff back function...

Don't know what is setting it off but is is a pain to have to restart everything.
I don't know how to reproduce it on demand yet... but working on it.

it keeps happening to see to on XP.
No idea how to replicate it, but it happens quite often.
