Well I tried using an external, but I can't seem to make it work correctly. It would help if I had any idea how to add an external. Spent a few hours going through the tutorial and it didn't help at all.
So... I still have the same problem.
Hopefully now that LC is open source, somebody will finally fix this problem and add the missing z-leveling options so externals would not be necessary.

In any case, I am still looking for a solution.

No suggestions I have tried have worked yet.

or fix the externals so we can add whatever features we need without worry about the direction of the engine coders..
