Hmm... Missing seems negative even though I know the way you mean it. I think the name should focus on being extra stuff rather than filling gaps.

Hi Monte, here's a couple of ideas..

livecodeTurbo
livecodeTurbo-iOS
livecodeTurbo-Android

You could shorten Livecode to lc or live; sounds snappier...

lcTurbo
lcTurbo-iOS
lcTurbo-Android

liveTurbo
liveTurbo-iOS
liveTurbo-Android

or Boost instead of Turbo...

liveBoost
liveBoost-iOS
liveBoost-Android

cheers
Paul

I really like Boost. I wonder if it needs the LiveCode/live/LC prefix?

If you read "iOS Boost" in the runrev store would you look at it to see what it was if you we're doing iOS dev? I think so. Might people think its game related? That's my main concern.

Livecodeboost.com is available and I think that's a reasonable domain even if the product is called just boost.

Cheers

Monte

Hi Monty,
there are so many games around on the app store now that any name you can think of will remind somebody of a game.
Boost is a common dictionary word, and most people won't relate a common word to a game.

Paul

Great ideas. Keep em coming!

Josep even sent me a logo off list. Maybe I should have a logo comp when the name is final?

If you want an alliteration

BoostBits

(shows it is a collection of items)

BoostBits.com is free

BoostBag would also alliterate but the com domain is taken.

Kind regards
Bernd

Cool... when the suite gets 8 times more features it could be called BoostBytes ;-)

I actually like mergExt. Adding 'merg' prefix to the externals gives continuity to the product line. So if you come up with a new name it should be able to serve the same function.

One I thought of was a made up word, innovext,i.e. innovation and extern the innovext.com domain is available
it does work as a prefix I think

innovextAccessory
innovextAnswerColor
innovextAV
etc.

That just made me think of another

extCetera

extCetera.com also available. Doesn't work as well as a prefix though. unless you did something like eXtc as the prefix though that then be pronounced ecstasy.

Are you saying its not ecstasy to use my externals? ;-)
I was thinking of dropping the merg in the external names but keeping it in the syntax. The thought of documenting synonyms and deprecated syntax gives me the hebegebies.
