revMobile on iPhone and iPad should be alive again

Post by bmont » Thu Sep 09, 2010 4:30 pm

It looks like revMobile should be allowed to run on iOS after Apple's announcement today. I hope that there is a direct comment from RunRev very soon on this topic to clarify their support going forward.

When the original "rule" was written, I wrote an eMail to Steve about his decision to preclude 3rd-party IDEs from creating apps for the iPad, etc. I told him he was creating an environment where Android would succeed at Apple's expense. I also suggested, as he was making what I believed was a strategic error that would cost Apple dearly, that it was time he resigned. Obviously, he never responded to my eMail.

Wait a minute. I guess he just did.
