and importing SVG images might be another.
The SVG XML file is parsed using revXML [...]

Vector graphics is a whole different kettle of fish and it's never easy if your only experience is with Photoshop and similar. A lot of this is down to the interface which tends to be archaic and impenetrable to new users.
I went to their website and it looks really good.If you're on a Mac, you may want to look at Vectinator instead - while apps like Inkscape are very capable, the interface can be overwhelming and difficult to get into. Vectinator is a breath of fresh air in comparison: https://www.vectornator.io
