AND you actually expect to get an answer out of LiveCode?
Re: WHY?? is the forum set back to saturday 24 august?
Hope they can set it back....to this morning.
Who knows what else could be gone, like great hints and scripts and fun thingy's
Fun is you've mentioned Twilight Zone, which i told my daughter yesterday that i was on tv years ago(20+ years?) with short horror movies and such things. as she wants to see some more scary movies, but not to scary.
Hope it's not related, saying Twilight Zone and immediately strange things happen

@sphere -
I loved the Twilight Zone so much I bought the series, great for all ages. I always thought Rod was a genius, the guy could take 1 room and 1 person, and make an entertaining show with almost no budget at all. Fantastic.

@Bogs. Ah yes great!
Well it reminded me on one episode, because we where watching Madagascar 2 (again? yes again ) (yes we like animations) and there is this scene where Alex the Lion watches out of the airplane window where this creature demolishes the engine, haha great!

LC is moving their server, the mailing list also went down the same day and portions of other services are also offline. Everything should be back soon, according to the response I received from my support ticket.
@Richmond, they do respond if you ask through designated channels.

If my school has to be closed for a day, or a teacher is ill and has to be replacedyou ask through designated channels
I announce that to all the parents of children who attend the school: I do not
wait for them to ask . . .
. . . 15 years ago (when I started) I had 32 kids hanging around in the street
because I had not informed the parents that I had to go and have an emergency root canal "thingy."

You might have checked the web site where it stated they were undergoing maintenance. I put in a support ticket to see about the mailing list and Heather added she hoped her mail went through because the mail server was being iffy.

Ah. Iffy. Yes. As in bouncing all messages.

If that is the expectation, writing to user-to-user support forum would not be an optimal choice.richmond62 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 1:06 pmAND you actually expect to get an answer out of LiveCode?
If the goal is to get support from other users, these forums are well suited to that.
But if you want to write to the company, the best way to do that would be to write to the company.
The support AT livecode.com address is the best way to obtain support from the company.
In the case, it seems that isn't necessary: Jacque has confirmed what I'd read from Monte in the LiveCode Facebook group, that the servers are being revised and the team is working diligently to get everything in place ASAP.

I can see this thread in Firefox-Mac only, NOT in Safari-Mac or Chrome-Mac.
In Safari/Chrome-Mac are the pages you are missing NOT gone (but this thread) while in Firefox also newer messages are gone.
We have a selective Forum now ...

Dear me, its most peculiar. We are looking into it. Some of you will see this message and some will not, it seems.
We'll get it sorted out I'm sure, in the meantime I do apologise for the inconvenience to whomever is able to read this message.
It doesn't seem to be a Firefox/Chrome/Safari issue as such, we've tested in all browsers and some of the team here can see one set of messages, and some another.
I'd like to reassure readers that there is no conspiracy, we're not trying to select messages, hide messages, add to or delete any, its purely a technical glitch due to our recent extremely large and complex server move. We will continue to iron out the glitches. If any other odd behaviour or missing items are noticed, please report them to support@livecode.com - I can confirm the support email address is working correctly.
Best Regards,
Heather
