State of the Extensions Store
Apologies for asking here rather than trying to find out myself, but I am curious to know the current state of the extension store.
More than a year ago I registered an ID for the store, but I don't think at that point it was possible to actually upload extensions to the store. I logged back in again today and (seemingly!) can upload extensions, but the fact that there are only four (four?!) widget extensions in the store, three uploaded by LiveCode Ltd themselves, and the other by LiveCode Factory, doesn't fill me with much hope.

This is a user-to-user support forum. For the best answer to things the company is doing, writing to the company directly will not only get you a quick and authoritative answer, but also allow them the opportunity to know your concern.

True, but rather than making a fool of myself when writing to them saying "Why's the store not working?" only to be told "It *is* working!", I thought I'd ask here first (I assumed all the widget builders would be here).
Your answers, though, seem to suggest it isn't working.

My answer is a signal that I doubt what the previous poster stated.
Re: State of the Extensions Store
For what it is worth, I've never had a problem getting an answer directly from the mother ship, and I've asked some pretty odd ball questions (imho). The answers I received usually within a day or so.andrewferguson wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 1:26 pmTrue, but rather than making a fool of myself when writing to them saying "Why's the store not working?" only to be told "It *is* working!", I thought I'd ask here first (I assumed all the widget builders would be here).
I really doubt it is foolish to ask something you don't know the answer too, and if they did reply that it *is* working, you could then ask "well how do I get it to work for me?". That is how I got the Oss version of Lc 6.0.1 working, and if they didn't consider that foolish, I REALLY don't think questions about something current (with in the last decade) would be considered so

Re: State of the Extensions Store
I actually did ask something foolish only two days ago. Of course my code was only 1 character out (isn’t it always). But I still got a lovely message from both Heather and Eleanor. The rest of the team are just as welcoming.
Let us know what you hear. I’d like to know the state and know how to submit myself. I thought we were still waiting. I’ve got quite a catalogue once it’s running.

richmond62 did NOT write what he is quoted as having written here:

Don't ask me how that happened, clearly his post doesn't even have your name in it

Re: State of the Extensions Store
After a bit of a wait (not complaining - I'm sure the team have been very busy getting 9.5 together), I got the following reply:
This is very exciting! The only issue at the moment is I don't have a fully-finished extension (there's several half-formed ideas and prototypes, but nothing I'd consider releasable at this point). Is there anyone who has a more finished widget that could try uploading to the store (*cough* thinking of [-hh] and their fantastic thread of 'Community Widgets' - indeed I recall that the whole reason that thread was created was because at that point the store was non-functional).Thank you for your request. I'm sorry for the delay in responding, I have been
waiting for our store guys to get back to me.
You should be able to upload a widget, yes. You will find some instructions
here:

I hope this helps.

Re: State of the Extensions Store
This doesn't work for me. They are asking for LC-styled docs I don't use (and never will).
I use to "document" my widgets by example stacks. There is no info how to attach these.
So the current "Sample Stacks" from the LC toolbar is better suited to distribute free widgets (whether the source is included or not). The installer added to these stacks are a few lines of code only.
The current store seems to be not ready for selling widgets (what the naming "store" may imply).

shiftLock happens
Re: State of the Extensions Store
Somehow related, LC seems to run a "Livecode Factory", which (is supposed) to produce widgets:

Probably this is not LC but thirdparty (digitalpomegranate?):
