I am a very green app developer, I have my first app on the app store and it is entirely free, no advertising or anything. I have now come up with some ideas to entice the users to buy the "full version". How would you best handle this? Disable the special features and when someone pays, enable them OR have a separate app listed on the app store with all the features?
I would appreciate any pointers or links to anything I can learn from.

Re: Free & Paid app versions
The easiest and cleanest way is to have a separate paid app and amend the free app to advertise the paid for app.

Re: Free & Paid app versions
You can do both. There are several apps that I have where the free version can be upgraded to the full version via in app purchase and a full version is also sold separately.

Thanks - I was over thinking it as always. I will submit a paid app with all the bells and whistles and update the free up to advertise the paid one.
