Looking for LiveCode coders
Hello all. We may need a bunch of LiveCode coders in the near future and need to put together a on-call list of those that have excellent proficiency with LiveCode. We will let you know what's involved and the pay privately, so make sure to send us your name, email address and number of years using LiveCode.
Anyone involved will have to sign an official NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and Non-Compete Agreement to join the team. This is freelance only, not a job position.
Thank you.

Aha.
And what constitutes "excellent proficiency"?
My own experience tells me that very many LiveCoders are proficient in very many different areas.

Re: Looking for LiveCode coders
My experience in Lc is far less than Richmond's, but what I've found essentially agrees with his experiences, not only as it pertains to Lc, but to programming in general.
No matter the language(s), you will almost always find that the greatest number of programmers are very good at general things, and tend to excel in things they find interesting themselves, i.e. web / design / desktop / mobile / dbs / gaming / etc.
You would likely receive responses more in tune with what your looking for if you gave some kind of specifics as to what your looking to accomplish, in regards to the area of development your trying to achieve.
Just my .02.

Re: Looking for LiveCode coders
When I say proficient, I mean just that, we do not need people learning on the job, so to speak.
The best candidates have already worked on other projects of any kind successfully.
We will explain the project requirements after the NDAs are signed. We will NOT require a non-compete signed until said coders are working on the actual project(s).
I hope that's more clear.

This whole thing looks a bit like a chicken-and-egg situation.

Re: Looking for LiveCode coders
The OP here reads like many RFPs I've responded to over the years. They're often vague on scope for practical reasons well addressed once the NDA is in place. I read "excellent proficiency" is merely a way of asking for someone with an intermediate-to-advanced level of experience, which seems a reasonable request for contract work.
All in all, it didn't seem out of the ordinary.

Re: Looking for LiveCode coders
Sorry. Been very busy with all of this.
I will be sending out NDAs in the near future - after which I will explain the project(s) and many of them will be ongoing or similar in function, but different in execution.
You are very right - I cannot explain what it is publicly so I have to be vague. In fact, we are under NDA and Non Compete as well, so I must be careful what I talk about publicly.
I have received four emails and would love to see around 16 more - having 20 on-call coders is our goal for this set of projects. That way, if some of you are busy on other projects, we have backups in place.
Thank you for understanding. It's a very exciting venture, so feel free to apply.

Re: Looking for LiveCode coders
Just signed contracts with some very big companies and will likely soon be sending out the NDAs.
Still looking for a few more LiveCode programmers who can work freelance to be on our short list.
Thanks to everyone who has emailed us back. We appreciate it.

Maybe something with gmail, or with the recipient server. Ping responds from that domain with 0 packet loss.capellan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 4:54 amInteresting enough, according to gmail, this address couldn't be found,
