Best Combo for iOS 9?
Hi All!
I am oh so close to completing an app to submit to the app store. I've been developing successfully with LC 7.0.1, Xcode 6.1.1 and OS X 10.9.5. In order to complete my app I need to find the most stable LC that supports iOS 9.
I'm assuming that I'll need to move to Xcode 7 and probably OS X 10.10.x. My app uses datagrids and a mobile scroller, but other than that it doesn't require anything sophisticated. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what version of LC I should use?
Thanks so very much!

Re: Best Combo for iOS 9?
Hi Laura,
I'm using LC 6.7.8 rc3 with Xcode 7.1.1 and everything works fine. That is except mobileComposeMail which is broken with iOS 9 in the sim but works on the device. If you're thinking of updating your MAC to El Capitan I would do some research and then think again. Yosemite is still a good choice.

Hi Tom...
So I think I'm starting to understand how LC and Xcode work together... moving to Xcode 7 is the key step that allows LiveCode to build for iOS 9, rather than a particular version of LC. Unless of course there are specific features in a new iOS that need to be accounted for.
Thanks too for the heads up on El Capitan... It's a relief to know that I won't need to climb that mountain!
Thanks so much Tom!

Re: Best Combo for iOS 9?
I’ve recently successfully submitted an iOS app using LC7.1, Xcode 6.4 on Mac 10.10.5… and mobileComposeMail works just fine. I’ve only run the app under iOS 9.1

Re: Best Combo for iOS 9?
Hi Randy,
Xcode 6.4 gives you iSO 8. You need Xcode 7 for iOS 9
As I stated, mobileComposeMail is broken in the sim with iOS 9. It works on the device. See the link to the bug report.

Re: Best Combo for iOS 9?
Yep, I was just sharing a different combination that worked. The original question asked a combination of LC/Xcode that worked on iOS9. The builds do work on a device with iOS 9.1 even though I don't have the iOS9 simulator with Xcode 6.4.
