LC8 - Performance difference on Win 7 vs Win 10

Colleagues,
I am experiencing a LARGE performance difference in the "answer file" command on Windows 7 Professional versus Windows 10 Home. A lag of 3 seconds is present on Windows 7 professional and not present on Windows 10. The Windows 7 machine is company supplied and the disk is encrypted...that may make a difference but it seems remote.
Do you have experience with this lag?
