LC8 DP 7 - Is this the most feature complete release for LC8

Colleagues,

LC8 DP7 seems to work better for me. That is, as an example, the Message Box doesn't appear in DP 11 or 12. Also, the documentation seems to be there in DP 7 but not in the subsequent releases. Is this just me or is this the expected behavior?

Features are not intentionally removed between builds. Did you file a bug report?

As far as I know, the message box should show up. If it doesn't, please file a bug report so we can look into it!

I think that your documentation-viewing issues may be related to using the browser widget. On which operating system are you running the LiveCode 8 IDE?

Using LC8 DP12 the Message Box doesn't show up on Windows 10 Home Edition nor on Windows 7 Enterprise.

I'm unfamiliar with filing a bug report.

Is the quality section of the main site the proper place to file the report?


As for the lack of desktop documentation, the dictionary seems to be absent. I will file a report for that also.

Please add a report at http://quality.livecode.com/. The more detail you can give about the exact steps used to show the problem that you are having, the better!

The core dev team is aware of the problems with the dictionary in the latest LiveCode 8.0.0 DP 12 release, and are working on fixing them (or at least, will resume fixing them when they arrive back from holidays tomorrow morning).
