Stacks all of a sudden way off screen
All of a sudden.
After a machine restart so there is nothing languishing that could matter, initiating a new session by clicking on a LC file on the desktop, the mainStack is located way off to the right. It first seemed that the stack did not open at all. It was only by detective work that I discovered what was going on.
Before I place some sort of gadget setting the loc of the opening stack in a new session to a nice location visible on screen, what the &^%$#%$ is happening to me???

Might be time to trash your LC preferences file.

Richmond.
Thanks, but did that. I noticed also that the "Find and Replace" dialog would not load, and it was not anywhere at all.
Anyway just now, all is back to normal after yet another machine restart.

Re: Stacks all of a sudden way off screen
oblix.
From me as well, welcome to this forum.
I am famous for whining about peculiar issues that seem to affect only me. Recall that LC had this syndrome for only a few weeks or so, and then got better, just like the newt John Cleese in "The Holy Grail".
As often happens, my system fixed itself, with no better reason or my understanding than when it went awry in the first place. I did nothing to hurt or help. I was too lazy to create a gadget that set the locs of all new stacks, and then no longer needed to.
