Xavvi

Post by dunbarx » Thu Apr 27, 2023 8:53 pm

There was a thread last week about Xavvi supplanting LC. That the focus of the company was going to shift, possibly meaning the end of LCS and LCB.

I thought that was unlikely, given the news that an effort is underway so that widgets will soon be buildable with LCS.

But reading the recent blog and questions from viewers about various aspects of the new world we are entering, it seems I was perhaps wrong. It appears that LCS will be, for many, just icing on an AI-built cake, with much scripting already embedded. The projects I have built could in no way be described adequately for Chat GPT to even get off the ground. Well, at least right now.

Where will LC be, and what will it look like in five years? Should I be thrilled or frightened?

Thanks. Read the whole thing, didn't see anything concerning to me.

They may go off to hunt unicorns now and then, but LC is what keeps the lights on the whole time. I doubt they'd risk their primary revenue stream. LC should be good as long as the company is good.

Theyve said several times that LC isn't going away for us. In fact, since Xavvi is built on top of LC, LC has to be kept current for Xavvi to succeed.
