Re: Windows 11 Help
You mean your old Livecode exe or standalones created with Livecode or what?
Could you try to right click the program icon and select open.
Does that help?

i tried right clicking and open. I tried turning off windows security. I logged in under different user...etc.
Re: Windows 11 Help
Do you mean they are not running at all or you cannot start them because "Windows protected your PC"?

Did you have already a look at the Windows event log. Are there any entries regarding the programs?

Re: Windows 11 Help
Maybe a Windows update.
Does your VM have all current Win updates? Does you Dell also? Or does you Dell have, but the VM have not or vice versa?

Re: Windows 11 Help
I tried here just on my Win 11VM and on a Win 11 hardware PC with a standalone created with LC 9.6.2. No problems.
Both have all current Windows (security) updates installed.

Re: Windows 11 Help
vm is on mac. XPS is stock windows 10 upgraded to 11. ALl updates. Turned UAC and firewall windows defender etc all off. Every other EXE runs but anything I created with live code just does nothing. No on screen errors etc...Just spins cursor then quits.
No idea.
Maybe will do a windows repair and see. Did not want to but who knows.
If you think of anything im game. short of blowing this up...i hate to do it but its next.
Thank you

I fixed it. Pro tip...lol
I did the media creation tool to create ISO and upgraded it keeping files and apps and it fixed it all. Sorry to bother you. Hope this might help someone down the line.

Re: Windows 11 Help
My client has 3 users with the same problem and we haven't been able to track it down. Could you explain what you did exactly? I'm not a Windows user so if you could give me the steps you took we can ask the user to try it.
There are thousands of users and so far only 3 have reported the problem. Can you help?
