It would not be an exaggeration to say that this forum is one of liveCode's greatest strengths for beginners/intermediate users at least.
The language is unlike other programming languages inasmuch as it seems to have evolved much more organically (more akin to a spoken language) and you have to be fairly fluent to 'guess' stuff correctly when you're not sure, but otherwise it can be an exercise in frustration finding out stuff.

This forum is just about the friendliest and most useful programming forum with seemingly endless patience for people asking questions that have been asked many times before and offer guidance and you practically always get sensible answers within a day or two

On the subject of learning Livecode.

I know someone who works for a Javascript training company. They train novices. After 4 months on their programme the novices are expected to write a weather-data-lookup app.

Very similar to what is taught in LC's "Weather Academy". https://livecode.com/products/learn/

Maybe if you read what Mr. Miller wrote :

"If you’re interested in trying it and have a little time to give us some
feedback, the beta/demo program is free. We don’t allow you to import your own
files in this version, just use the LiveCode data set that we have set up."
