Maybe you could get more info if you open the message watcher and see what's being called when the "go" command aborts.

Tried that. My recollection is that messages just cease after the "go" command. That said, I may have been a bit inattentive in that I thought nothing (seemingly?) of import followed. I will look again on Monday. I hate to think to try it, but maybe I will not suppress IDE messages.
