I am trying to understand and find out sources of information to learn about "embedded control system software". Just the VERY basics at the moment. For instance, my microwave. What language is commonly used for something like this? What is used as the Interpreter?
Can LiveCode be used for writing the software for an embedded control system?
How would this work? For instance, if I wanted to write an app for creating this little boy's toy (Just kidding. It is an example only.)

Just curious. I have just a "hint" of an idea that may never pan out.

Re: Embedded control system software
What a lovely film, and an even more lovely song!
Several thought come to mind (ALL of which have been bothering me about LiveCode for years,
and I have never found any adequate answers):
1. Floor robots.
2. Sockets.
3. How to pipe instructions down a USB connexion to a robot.
One of John Denver's less "flat and obvious" efforts.
