IDE Stand alone settings - Copy File

Post by Simon Knight » Sun Oct 25, 2020 2:11 pm

Hi,

I'm using version 9.6.1 on a Mac and have just run into a new feature. Previously in older versions of Livecode selecting a file in the IDE standalone settings tab copy file/folder would allow a single file to be selected and this was copied to the folder that contained the built engine :

Now when I select a single file it is listed and stored under a folder with the same name as the folder that source file is stored in :

With this version of the IDE it is not possible to enter just a file name like this :

as even when a single file is selected its parent folder name is displayed :

It seems I'm only allowed three screen shots per post .

So continuing from above:

This is probably a good idea as it allows files with the same name to be added to a project, but I wish I had read about the change before it tripped me up.

Interesting. Is it mentioned in the release notes? This may have been placed earlier than the latest build of v.9.x.
