Issues with IDE v9.6.0

Hi,

Did I imagine that in the past that the setting of a control's behavior could be achieved by dragging the bulls eye target icon over the button that was to act as the behavior ? Doing this would populate the inspector field with the long ID of the button. Mind you it could just be wishful thinking on my part.

I am using 9.6.0 and notice that the code editor has its moments. On several occasions I have lost the lower information panel and notice that the expand a variable contents icons no longer work. So I wonder if the select a behavior button has gone the same way.

This is behaviors in 9.5 -

...a little tease...
The main difference I see is it looks like they auto-populated a lot more into 9.6...

...more, more...
...but in either case, the long id of the object is pop'd into the field near the behavior button once you select , say, a button.

Either that is the answer, or I have completely missed the question.

Hi,

Having spent sometime with the bullseye icon on a mac I can say that I have little idea how it is suppose to work! There seems to be two methods of selecting a stack and I suspect that one of them was suppose to allow a list of buttons on the selected stack to be offered for selection. However this does not happen.

The only way I have discovered of assigning a behavior button that is on a different stack is to select the behavior button before pressing the bulls eye icon. Occasionally this displays a long ID but it often then changes to a short ID.

I think I would have to say that the interface lacks polish.
