Not sure where to post this...

When I try to make a standalone of my application (for windows, on windows), I get the following error in LC business 8.1:

When I open the exact same project in LC 8.0 (dp 15) I can make the executable without a hitch. Even if I remove everything in my project (and I mean everything, every card bar one and every line of code) I still get the same error message.

I can remedy it by just working in LC 8 but something seems wrong in LC 8.1? I don't have this in other projects by the way, I can open and publish older projects just fine from 8.1.

Anyone know what's up with this?

This is a bug in LC 8.1.0, which is fixed in 8.1.1 RC-1. For a detailed description of the bug, as well as a workaround, see http://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=18429.

However, I suggest you use a more recent version of LiveCode, such as 8.1.2:
