Strange IDE behaviour - "Apply" doesn't work

I'm facing a very strange IDE behaviour:

- after editing a script if click on "Apply" nothing happens
- if I click on "+" sign of a group on the project browser it doesn't let me see what controls are part of the group

Any hints?

Thanks

Hi Simon,

what version of LC are you talking about?
And why is this an "Announcement"? 8)

well, we are at 8.01 Stable in the moment and I don't see these problems in 8.01 on my Mac!
Get it here: http://downloads.livecode.com/livecode/

Hi Simon,
Annoying IDE behaviour
how about a title that is a tad more descriptive?

Kind regards
Bernd

I have installed 8.01 Stable and problem persists.

I can not reproduce exactly when the issue appears.

My project has 23 Cards, everything is working perfectly and suddenly it seems the IDE has gone mad:
- the "Apply" button on the script editor doesn't react at all
- I can't use the mouse to select a text to start editing (but I can with the keyboard).
- I can't select a card by double clicking on the Project Browser...etc, etc

Saving the script (by clicking on the Window Red Icon to close the script editing window) brings everything back to normal...

Could it be the size of the project?

Or my Mac Configuration?

OS X El Capitan

I do see this behavior fairly often, but nothing I can find a repeatable recipe for.
When it happens I usually just insert a space and delete it so that the script becomes dirty again, and then the Apply button is active.

HC and LC are the only venues where one may talk dirty, and nobody get offended.

@mwieder thanks for sharing you are experiencing the same (annoying) issue.

I will keep my radar ON in order to (hopefully) find the recipe for our friends at LC to fix it...
