Can anyone at RunRev comment on the status of MobGUI please?

Hi,

Appreciate there's a MobGUI board, but this is a general rather than technical question.

Like a lot of people I've had nothing but silence when attempting to contact the MobGUI developer(s) either through their support website or Twitter in recent times. This is really disappointing as MobGUI was the driver in attracting me to LiveCode in the first place, it forms the backbone of most 'developing for mobile using LIveCode' demo's and even a recent book.

Yesterday I received a promo email from RunRev offering a bundle deal of LiveCode Commercial, MobGUI and.. one other external which now escapes me (it was late...) but it related to DataGrids. This would be very tempting, was it not for the fact that I have no evidence that MobGUI is being actively developed any more.

If RunRev are by association promoting MobGUI I think it's only reasonable for me to ask if there's actually any future in MobGUI before I part with my money.

I sincerely hope that MobGUI hasn't died a death because it's fantastic - but it does seem to have gone very quiet. Maybe an exciting new version being readied for release? ;-)

Cheers,

Steve

\\ No comment on this post from anyone at RunRev in over two weeks?

\\ No response to my enquiry sent direct to the sales@runrev email address last week?

\\ No response from the MobGUI developer to four support requests through his website, which is similar to other people's experience.

Yet RunRev use MobGUI as part of their current "buy LiveCode get this free" promotion?

Not really great is it?

Steve

Hi Steve,
You are correct, it's not great.
I'm guessing that since RunRev is developing their own Resolution Independence and Native Themes, mobGUI will perish.
On the bright side all that will be built into the LC IDE :)

Is there a particular task you are trying to accomplish with mobGui? I don't use it but maybe I/someone can help.
