Would it be possible to the tweek the settings of LiveCode's IDE so that the scripting window opens at either the location where is was last used or at a pre-determined spot other than flush left to the screen as it does now?
I work on a fairly small screen and real estate for all of LC's toolbars, windows and palettes is in short supply. As far as I have noticed, most everthing re-opens at the position where I last used it, except for the scripting window which always open flush left to my screen the first time I open it during a session. (When I move the scripting window to where I want it, it remembers that spot for the rest of the session, but forgets when I close the program.)
Along the same lines, but not as annoying, the main menubar always opens about 8 pixels or so below the top of my screen. I wish I could set it so that it is positioned at the exact top of my screen. I can live with this, but if the scripting window problem can be fixed, it would probably be possible to do the same for the main menubar.
If this can't be done, then I suppose that I'll just have to content myself with posting it as a request for a new feature in that forum.

HMMM.
I am on a Mac, but the Script editor does stay where it last was placed, even between sessions. I like it at the far right of my screen.
This is true in 4.5, 5.0 and 5.5.
Is this a windows thing?

Any other Windows users with this problem? Perhaps it's only a problem on my particular machine and/or installation.

Remembers location for me on win 7.
Might disable plugins and/or delete your prefs file and see if the problem goes away. (probably start with the prefs file)

Re: Tweeking the settings of LiveCode's IDE
Right, settings are stored in the prefs file. If that gets replaced then the window locations will be lost. There's a known issue when moving between 5.0 and 5.5 where prefs can sometimes get lost, they're working on it.
