Status icon support on Mac OS X?

Post by RRobert » Thu Oct 14, 2010 3:22 am

Dear folks,

Yesterday I tried to check out the status icon support on Mac OS X. I created a new stack, added a image, a button and added "set the statusIcon to imageId" in the button handler. If I click button nothing happens.

Could anyone confirm this?

Robert

The release notes for LiveCode 4.5 designate this as 'experimental' and only implemented for Windows, not supported on MacOSX or Linux. Let's hope this will make it to MacOSX at a later stage - in the meantime, you may be interested in creating your own, following this advice from Ken Ray: http://www.sonsothunder.com/devres/revo ... sMenu.html

Cause it was implemented for Windows in the previous version already I thought with this release Mac OS X would be supported too. Im familiar with XCode but for simple things I could also recommend Tapir.
