Using Browser Widget to download an apk

Hi team, if I use the following link on Chrome (on Android) I'm able to download the apk to my device (of course I have to set all the permission to do so)

https://www.referi.it/webmirror/simontest/theAPP.apk

but when I try to do the same using the Browser Widget I get the following error:

I've searched for the meaning of the error (and how to fix it) and what I got doesn't seem to reflect my case

Any ideas of what could be the cause?
